Ryannktsu 1 by Kategod

A plushie commission for the dragoness Ryannktsu. This was a heck of a challenge I must say, since she has very complicated markings. I made the whole thing out of velour, and the underside of the wings and all the red markings are airbrushed on. The spines, teeth, claws, and horns are satin, and even though it's hard to tell the horns are actually cream colored while the teeth, spines, and claws are white. I managed to overcome the natural want of the velour to twist the body mostly, but it still kind of wants to twist up a bit. The belly scutes were hand-sewn on, and the wings are actually one solid piece that I sewed the wing-arms and fingers into before stuffing. This plush took me the longest of any that I've worked on. Ryannktsu is (c) herself.

Darkk Dragon Plush by Kategod

This is the first commission I did as far as these plushies of mine go, for Darkk the dragon. I really liked how this turned out, since the ears are fins and the cheek-spines turned out well. The underbelly has scutes sewn in, this is the first time I did that. The whole thing is made out of fur fleece, with brown velour for the horns, claws, and spines. Kanekalon hair (the stuff most people get when they get weaves done). I wish I had gotten some better photos before I sent this off, but my camera back then was not the best in the world. Darkk (c) himself.

If you remember the black dragon I uploaded earlier, then this will look familiar. This WAS the preliminary inks to the black dragon, until my husband said it looked dorky as all get out and convinced me to change it to something fiercer. But I like this zebra dragon!! He's very cute, and charming. And look! Dragonflies!

Wertle, the color-changing, glass-crafting dragon! She's quite multi-talented and really nice! :D I tried drawing her in a mix of my style and hers, though it ended up looking a bit like something by Phil Foglio... Pencil, with a colored, speckled cardstock bg; color added in Photoshop.

Well... one of my newer drawings. After some weeks of art-lack and many days of depression I got something 'nice' done again. the feets look a bit odd. The dragon doesn't have wings. Those are fins. I tryed to make a dragon that breaths air but hunts underwater. So he has strong fins and weak legs, because this creature lives underwater 90% in it's life. my first try of a bit 'brighter' colours..

Wow... the discription for this is so long there's no way I can cut it down enough to make it fit here... I guess if anyone needs to know all about this guy's story and reasons behind its features, I can direct them to my Deviantart Gallery. Aaaaanywho... God, I love reinventing creatures like this… and coming up with creatures with believable adaptations and behaviors. It just… makes me all kinds of happy. And while I love the traditional oriental dragon, I kinda think this fellow is a bit cool too.

So, uh, I can totally draw avians and they actually look good. Howaboutthat. And I don't really like birds much. XD I'm terribly happy with how this came out. the wings were the big thing, but I just took them one at a time. I adore her hair and the little feathers. First art of 2008! Four elemental animals done as sticker and magnet designs for Further Confusion 2008, which I will be at in the dealer's room. I wanted to have some fun cool looking stickers I could sell at my dealer's table, and at future cons as well. So I picked a theme that's fun and pretty popular, and everyone can relate to and appreciate. I would like to do more themed sticker sets like this in the future, but I don't have the time before FC. The originals paintings and the sticker/magnets will all be at FC, so if you're going stop by my table! something for Origami Gryphon Yeah.. I sketched and inked this all at work.. Actually I was surprised I inked it as quickly as I did, since I didn't even draw in the wings all the way, It was mostly just wispy strokes... and I put the pen to it before 'finalizing' with pencil.
